Please follow the steps below if you would like to apply for financial aid at The New Community College at CUNY:
The New Community College at CUNY will use the FAFSA to determine students' need for the 2013-14 academic year.
1. File a 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
- Be sure to follow the instructions and first apply for a PIN number. If you are including your parent(s) income, they will also need to apply for a PIN number.
- The NCC FAFSA code is 042101. Please select this code when applying.
2. Within approximately one week of submitting your FAFSA, you should receive an email confirmation with a link to your 2013-14 Student Aid Report (SAR) from the U.S. Department of Education. The SAR is an online document acknowledging the processing of your FAFSA. Be sure to review the document for accuracy.
3. The New York State TAP application is available as a link from the FAFSA application.

- Make sure you complete the TAP application and add the NCC TAP code.
- The NCC TAP code is 1421.
4. The New Community College will claculate the amount of financial aid that you will be awarded based on your FAFSA submission. We will send you a financial aid award letter.
