The Center for College Effectiveness (CCE) coordinates The New Community College’s integrated assessment, institutional research, and professional development initiatives.  The CCE promotes a culture of inquiry and continuous improvement by:

  • Building bridges among institutional goals, the needs of the college community, assessment activities, institutional research analyses, and professional development efforts
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and refining plans for systematic data collection and ongoing assessment of institutional effectiveness and student learning
  • Collaborating with academic and non-academic units to assess performance relative to defined goals and objectives
  • Providing the college’s stakeholders with quantitative and qualitative information for strategic planning, accreditation, and improving performance (closing the loop)
  • Coordinating professional development for faculty and staff
  • Serving as a resource for effective practices in assessment, data analysis, e-portfolios, and program evaluation.
